WELCOME TO RETAIN PEGGY HAUSMAN

PEGGY S. HAUSMAN VICTORY STATEMENT

The people of The Woodlands Township have spoken! They have decided to continue Peggy Hausman’s 25 years of community service by electing her at-large to retain her seat on The Woodlands Township Board. I congratulate and appreciate each of the candidates for offering their services to the community. I pledge to work with the newly elected board members to deliver the community services, law enforcement, fair taxation, and smart growth that the residents demanded back in November and again here today. The residents have, with their votes, risen above the petty politicking that a few officials tried to inject into this campaign. I thank my friends and neighbors for their unbending support and promise to help them preserve The Woodlands’ idyllic quality of life for the future of their families, their children, and grandchildren. Thank you!

PEGGY S. HAUSMAN PROFILE

Peggy Hausman’s primary goal has always been to be a dedicated partner to her husband of 30 years, Mitch, and to be a nurturing full-time mother to her two sons, Nick and Patrick. But, Peggy has also always found time to serve her community. She has been an unpaid community volunteer for more than 25 years serving home-based groups like the PTA, the YMCA, Boy Scouts, and the Food Bank to name a few. In 1999 she was selected as one of the original 25 Hometown Heroes for The Woodlands. She was also elected to the board and served as president of the Woodlands Community Association (WCA). And later, she was elected to the Municipal Utility District (MUD) #40 board of directors.

Her experience in the day-to-day operation of our complex “alphabet soup” community is best illustrated by her work as a member and chairman of The Woodlands Community Service Corporation (WCSC) in planning and overseeing many of our community’s basic services. Her interest in economic development is expressed in her service on the Town Center Improvement District (TCID) board and as vice-chair of the Convention & Visitors Bureau. She has now volunteered to retain her seat if elected at-large by The Woodlands Township residents in May of this year and to be a model for what she has called upon the new board to always be “Responsible and Accountable!”
